I started Matt May Photographic Images in 2010 to create and sell finished photographic prints, suitable for framing.
My aim is to present the viewer with original images that are decorative and artful.
I use a digital camera system to photograph, process and print my images. Although some of my prints are derived from scans of my older color print film negatives, I shoot in camera RAW with a DSLR and some basic lenses, and work from there.
I print my images on Inkpress Luster paper with Epson pigment based inks. These inks are engineered to be fade resistant and to hold up over time. My finished prints will look faithful and accurate for many years to come.
After permanently mounting and matting each print with acid free boards, I add a piece of foam-board, and protect everything in a clear bag, ready for purchase or framing. I carry three standard frame sizes.
A word about my framed work. I prefer to show my photos with black Nielsen Bainbridge metal frames. I hand assemble them using clear gallery glass and heavy duty hardware. Custom enlargements are available upon request. For more information, please visit my website at www.mattmaypics.com.
